[It's such a lovely day in Luceti that Raven thought it would be quite nice to take the time to cook something new for his fellow housemates. Not out of generosity mind you, more out of sheer boredom since he had no intention of eating it himself. After flicking through the recipe books he had settled on making a refreshing coconut flavoured sorbet.

However, he wasn't expecting coconuts to be this difficult to work with and had no idea how to get it open. After struggling with a knife for twenty minutes he decided that it was going to take more extreme measures to get through it's deceptively furry shell. Using his bow he placed a magic spell into the ground, then jumped back and threw the coconut at it. As a result, the coconut exploded into little pieces and splattered across the front yard, not exactly what he was going for.]

That's it, I give up! [He sighed and scratched his head, he didn't want to waste the nice weather so he needed a new idea. So he decided to grab his journal and ask. Might as well clean up the mess he made too, thinking that maybe he should have just gone to the store to get a hammer instead of being so lazy about it.]

Alright, I'm tryin' ta make a nice summery dessert and I need some suggestions! I'm thinkin' something exotic? Ya know, the kind that screams a nice hot day at the beach? Sorbet, ice cream, parfait, all the stuff I hate eatin' myself and really I don't know all that much about.

[Estelle had been reading and writing in a private journal in her room, with the window open since the weather was so lovely. Imagine her surprise when a loud bang sounded outside the house, causing her to jump.]

Huh?

[She looks back down at her journal to find a nice long streak across the page. Sigh. Closing the journal she decides to investigate. Moments later Raven would see her peeking outside.]

Was that an explosion?

[Well, so much for hoping he had been quiet about it. He's surprised to see Estelle so he quickly waves his hand to dismiss it.]

Nope! Ya must be hearin' things. I didn't blow anythin' up.

[Estelle blinks several times and then looks down at the white pieces everywhere.]

Um. That doesn't sound very convincing.

Yeah! Ya know what I mean, right? A dessert that's best served in summer! Watermelon, ice cream, those things!

[Grune is just out for a nice little ramble, enjoying the beautiful day and everyone's bright and cheerful gardens, when SUDDENLY BALLISTIC COCONUT.

A piece of the shell zooms past her nose and flecks her with coconut milk, and she stops in her tracks.]

Oh, my.

[He doesn't waste any time running over to Grune, looking incredibly apologetic.]

Are you alright?! That didn't hit ya did it?

[Grune, by contrast, is completely mellow.]

Hello, Raven. Don't worry. I'm just fine.

[Hearing some sort of bang right outside the house is more than enough to get Yuri's attention. So, he heads outside (via his window, because ... well, he was in his room, so why ignore such a perfectly good exit) and takes a look.

... Then he sees the savage coconut murder that apparently happened just now, along with the old man.]

Should I know what happened here, or ...?

[Ok so his idea backfired and now he's embarrassed about it. He was hoping it would slide under the radar but it seems he made a little too much noise.]

Ya really don't need me to explain this, do ya? Let's just pretend it was some experiment and not me being lazy~?

Ice cream sounds good, just use a ton of fruit with it. Mangos especially. They're really good.

[... but he should probably warn him before he tries something stupid.]

Coconuts aren't that good for a meal though, so don't use them. They're pretty hard to get open too unless you smash a rock into a crack it's already got.

Mango ice cream, huh? [He thinks about that, taking a mental note.] I've never tried cookin' with a mango before. Actually, I don't think I've even eaten one in my lifetime.

[Did he have to mention coconuts... Raven just coughs.] Coconuts aren't much good if they've already been cracked though, ruins the stuff inside and makes it all hard and dry.

...Strawberry pie.

Oh! Or popsicles. Always best when made home-made.

Popsicles? Never heard of those before.

Cherry rice cakes! Or peach buns, but I'm afraid I can't give you the recipe for those, I'm sorry. They're a family secret. But making cherry cakes is really simple, and they're really very good! They were Ammy's favorite food, too.

[Yes, the sun goddess of ancient Japan loved cherry rice cakes. And sake.] I haven't made either or those in such a long time, it'd be so much fun to make them now!

[Ah, it's Miyabi~ He's happy to hear from her since it's been a while.]

Awww, sharin' the recipe would be fun but I think I get it. What about cherry cakes then? What would I need fer them, aside from cherries?

I don't like any of 'em! Not a fan of sweet stuff, remember? I guess cranberries and grapes aren't as sweet as some of the others.

[Shortly after the explosion, Patty's curious face appears by her window, gazing out over the mess. For a moment, she just stares.]

[And then her face lights up in excitement and the window slides open.] Oooh, perfect timing, old man! There's nothing like a coconut's silky flesh on a hot day!

[She hops out into the yard, dashing over to the nearest chunk of coconut to grab it.]
