[It's such a lovely day in Luceti that Raven thought it would be quite nice to take the time to cook something new for his fellow housemates. Not out of generosity mind you, more out of sheer boredom since he had no intention of eating it himself. After flicking through the recipe books he had settled on making a refreshing coconut flavoured sorbet.

However, he wasn't expecting coconuts to be this difficult to work with and had no idea how to get it open. After struggling with a knife for twenty minutes he decided that it was going to take more extreme measures to get through it's deceptively furry shell. Using his bow he placed a magic spell into the ground, then jumped back and threw the coconut at it. As a result, the coconut exploded into little pieces and splattered across the front yard, not exactly what he was going for.]

That's it, I give up! [He sighed and scratched his head, he didn't want to waste the nice weather so he needed a new idea. So he decided to grab his journal and ask. Might as well clean up the mess he made too, thinking that maybe he should have just gone to the store to get a hammer instead of being so lazy about it.]

Alright, I'm tryin' ta make a nice summery dessert and I need some suggestions! I'm thinkin' something exotic? Ya know, the kind that screams a nice hot day at the beach? Sorbet, ice cream, parfait, all the stuff I hate eatin' myself and really I don't know all that much about.

Uh, not quite. Coconuts have got this really hard shell ya see, they need a good whack ta break 'em open.

Oh.

[She smiles.] Well, now it's open, so you can have your snack!

[He just laughs at that.]

Unfortunately this is no good now, it's kind of uh... covered in dirt.

Oh, that's too bad. We should go find another one.

[crisisrain]

I think I'll stick ta using other fruits instead of seeds. Maybe somethin' a little easier, like a banana or strawberries.

Oh, bananas and strawberries taste very nice. Maybe you could have both!

Do they work together though? [yes they make great smoothies actually]

Hmm.... We could try it and find out?

Sounds like it might work! And if it doesn't... well it wouldn't be the first food items I've ruined today! I think we've got some in the kitchen along with a blender?

[He gestures towards the house.] Feel like joinin' in the experiment?

Oh, yes, that would be a lot of fun!

[This is going to end well.]

[Let's make sure to put the lid on the blender. Anyway, he puts his hand out. Nevermind the mess on the yard he's cleaned it up around 4 times already.]

Ladies first then! The kitchen is opposite the door, the whole place is open plan.

All right! I can't wait to see what we make.

[And off she goes!]

[He follows behind, carefully checking the front door before he closes it thanks to a certain someone who decided to break it on day one. Once they arrive in the kitchen he starts going through the cupboards and fridge.]

Uh, ya see that blender there? Should be in that cupboard right by you, set that up for me would ya? I'll find the fruit.

All right.

[Grune starts looking about for it. ...She's somewhat hampered by the fact that she has no idea what a blender is.]

[crisisrain]

[It doesn't take him long to find the fruits, placing them onto the counter and then blankly staring towards Grune.]

Ya do know what a blender is... right?

[lostinmyway]

[At this point, Grune is examining the household's water glasses. At his question, she turns.]

Oh, yes. [Beat.] I think.

[crisisrain]

[Without saying a word he opens one of the lower cupboards and digs the blender out, placing it on the counter.]

This here is a blender!

[lostinmyway]

[Grune wanders over and bends down to take a look at this mysterious object.]

Oh, is it?

[House 34 is also known as House Luddite. They actually got rid of their electric stove and custom-ordered a wood-burning one from the smithy. Blenders are strange and exotic creations.]

[crisisrain]

[Raven would love a traditional stove, but he worries that with the house's track record they'd set fire to it all.]

Yup! Ya put the fruits and stuff in, put the lid on, press the button and bzzzzzzz it makes it into paste!

[Sadly, with the minds over at Grune's house, this is actually the safer option.]

My, how exciting! Are we going to try it now?
