[It's such a lovely day in Luceti that Raven thought it would be quite nice to take the time to cook something new for his fellow housemates. Not out of generosity mind you, more out of sheer boredom since he had no intention of eating it himself. After flicking through the recipe books he had settled on making a refreshing coconut flavoured sorbet.
However, he wasn't expecting coconuts to be this difficult to work with and had no idea how to get it open. After struggling with a knife for twenty minutes he decided that it was going to take more extreme measures to get through it's deceptively furry shell. Using his bow he placed a magic spell into the ground, then jumped back and threw the coconut at it. As a result, the coconut exploded into little pieces and splattered across the front yard, not exactly what he was going for.]
That's it, I give up! [He sighed and scratched his head, he didn't want to waste the nice weather so he needed a new idea. So he decided to grab his journal and ask. Might as well clean up the mess he made too, thinking that maybe he should have just gone to the store to get a hammer instead of being so lazy about it.]
Alright, I'm tryin' ta make a nice summery dessert and I need some suggestions! I'm thinkin' something exotic? Ya know, the kind that screams a nice hot day at the beach? Sorbet, ice cream, parfait, all the stuff I hate eatin' myself and really I don't know all that much about.

... We're not putting it on easy mode. That's just embarrassing.

[... Unless hobbies aren't enough to get Raven's mind off the fact that he's living with a jerk, a princess, and a loli pirate.]
[Action]
I take care of the garden at least so that's somethin', not much, but it's something.
[Action]
[ ... ]
I'd ask what else you've done, but if they're really boring things, I'm probably not gonna care, anyway.
[Action]
But they just weren't my things. I tried playin' a few instruments, and I cook all the time! Havin' a sort of job at the bar and managing the hot springs can keep me busy too.
[Action]
Huh ... Seems like everyone's got more than one job they do in this place. [... Well, only Emil and Raven so far that he knows of, but still.] I'm starting to feel like I'm doing something wrong, only taking care of guild matters.
[Action]
[He ruffles his hair, thinking.]
Ya do a good job of takin' care of the guild. It's much more work than people might realize. Haha, yer startin' ta learn what it means to be responsible for yer sub-ordinates. Not that I have any experience in managing large groups~
[Action]
Yeah, right. Sure you wouldn't have any experience with that. [A quick pause, then--] Taking care of the guild really is a full-time thing, though. I mean, sure, I've still got free time, but when things get busy, they really get busy. It's still taking me some time to readjust to it.
[Action]
That freedom of action is somethin' ya don't experience within the Empire, it's a factor that you and me both can only pretend ta truly understand. Even though we both defected from one to the other, ya can never just discard yer roots.
[Action]
[Action]
That's what I mean about the freedom part! Guilds like Leviathan's Claw had their own systems and rules, Brave Vesperia, to a certain extent, is the same. I'm sure I told ya before [In the PS3 version.] that the Union itself only came together a while back, when they were occupied by the Empire. Before that guilds themselves were scattered and singular, we're in the same circumstance bein' in another world an all that.
Sayin' that though, Brave Vesperia's law of "Do justice for others and punish the unjust, all for the Guild and the Guild for all!" Isn't all that different from the Union's pledge, or the first rule of the Imperial Knights. Ya know what I'm talkin' about, right? "Our swords serve our freedom. Our shields serve our friends." And for the Knight's it's "With this sword I shall protect the people."
What you need ta run a guild is learned through experience, and that's somethin' ya can only obtain by being in a guild. Brave Vesperia's the first one you've been a part of, and ya've been dumped with the responsibility for it, despite it only being around fer a short time back home. Heck, you guys hadn't even figured out what you were doin' with it yet! The way it'll be shaped here is goin' ta be different to the way it would have been shaped back home, so don't let it stress you out! We gotta adapt to the new circumstances and incorporate the guild accordingly, there are goin' ta be discrepancies that contradict.
[Action]
... I can't argue with any of that. It's not like there's anyone aside from you and me who even has a good enough idea of how these things work, anyway. [He rubs the back of his head.] Guess I should just keep doing what I'm doing, then. I wasn't exactly planning on making things picture perfect with how our world runs guilds, anyway.
[Action] OMG DW, BEHAVE
No, no, no, we can't have any of that! You gotta aim fer perfection here! Don't talk yourself down because yer unsure of what you're doing, you're the head honcho, the duce, the big boss! Ya need to show that confidence and be the leader! Make people look up to you, make 'em respect you, that's part of the foundation of a stable guild!
[Action] DW CAN'T BE TAMED
[A-AND HIS GUILDIES TOTALLY RESPECT HIM ... Well, Zack and Emil and probably Luke, BUT HEY ;_;]
[Action] But it ruined my joke tag now :(
[Action] It had to do it some day to one of us :(
[Action] Go back through the notifs, you'll know it when you see it.
[... Actually.]
Uh, forget I said that. You don't need ta know what this old man used ta do in his youth. Just try ta remember what I've told ya today, that'd be enough.
[Action] ... I'm not sure if I should clap at that tag or shake my head silently.
[Action] Slow clap?
[Action] Yeah sure that works. /slow clap
