Vampires are demons. When you get bitten and turned? Your soul leaves the body and the demon takes up residence. They walk around in your face with your voice and your memories, but they are not you. [She pauses.]

Angelus was one of the worst, but he chowed down on the wrong gypsy princess or something. The family cursed him with a soul. It was all about making him feel all the big bad consequences of his actions. But the soul? It changed him. He switched teams. He shortened his name and became a hero.
