[Since the last event Raven has spent the entire time locked away in his room sleeping it off. Now however he feels as though that wasn't he wisest thing to do. So he's currently in the Barracks borrowing one of their standard wooden bows and practising hitting the targets. He doesn't seem to be doing very well though, he's broken a few window panes and even managed to hit himself with his own arrow. It'd be a wise idea to not stand anywhere near him, especially in front, he's not having a very good day.]

Why does this situation seem so familiar? And who in their right mind aims for the door?

But... I wasn't aiming at the door. I can't seem ta get used usin' a normal bow.

[He's going to be getting across the room and out of the firing zone as quickly as possible.]

[It's OK, Raven's stopped firing arrows for now while he's examining the bow.]

Yup a normal bow. Your standard wooden bow with nothin' special 'bout it.

[Well now he's behind Raven, so in theory, he's safe!]

Do you usually have some kind of auto-aim version?

Haha I wish. Nah I have a variable bow, it changes into a katar at close range so the mechanism is a little different to yer average run of the mill bow.

A katar? How does that work?

And, to tell the truth, I was never that good at archery.

Me neither, I used ta fight with a sword.

It's kinda complicated, but basically the limbs of the bow are attached to riser differently so that they can rotate round and lock into a katar shape. Effectively converting the bow within an instant.

Me too, hah ha. What a coincidence! And, I guess that would make it different to shoot. Did you lose your bow, or are you just trying to broaden your horizons?

Hm? No didn't lose it, Flynn has it. Tryin' not to bring weapons back to my room at the moment, I don't wanna cause any hostility. I think I've got enough broad horizons when it comes ta combat.

Really? I'm not sure you can ever have enough broad horizons, but if you do, then why are you practicing?

Because I haven't touched a weapon since arrivin' in Luceti I guess. Didn't really think about it.

How did you manage that?

I've only been here since the middle of November.

I've been here less time than you, but I keep on getting attacked by this demon. It's really annoying.

Seriously? What did you do to provoke somethin' like a demon?!

Nothing! I'm no provocateur, and this isn't a pretty-lady shaped demon. Though, with the hair, I guess one could make that mistake. I've been thinking maybe I should start carrying a sword around, again, but that's something I really don't want to do. It just makes it look like you're expecting a fight, doesn't it?

Yeah that's why I don't have my bow at the moment. Though, I've still got that knife in my belt so I guess I send some kinda message.

But hey if ya use a bow, so just carry that around instead of learnin' to use a sword.

I don't really use a bow. Not well, anyway! But...[he pauses, as if he's trying to decide something.]

Oh? More like, you can use a bow, but you prefer somethin' else?

Well, here, I guess it's okay if I show you. You won't run around telling people about this, right?

Oooh a secret then! Nope I won't tell anyone, I'm good at keepin' secrets!

I just bet.

[But Nash walks a bit towards the target, raises his left arm and pushes something near his elbow with the right. A spike shoots out of his sleeve and hits the target. (And if that doesn't make sense because Nash's weapons don't, 8:26 of this video shows it.)]

Wait so you hide spines up yer sleeve and use 'em as projectiles? That's a pretty discrete tactic! I'm impressed, gotta admit!
