Ya know, I'm gonna skip straight ta the point. Anyone care ta tell this old man what the date is? Last time I was here it was somethin' like August.

[He pauses for a minute. August sounded right to him, but it had been an exceptionally long time since he'd last been here. Was August even a legitimate month, it wasn't native to his calendar. He wasn't even certain if this is how you use the journal properly. It had been several months for him and his memory isn't very kind.]

Actually, is anyone I know even around anymore? I've got no idea how long it's been. Just when I thought I'd finally gotten rid of this place.

I've had my own problems with similar creatures, but nothing quite as bad as you describe. Luck to you with that, mate, in future. Now you're back here, though, and all the more better for us. It's nearing that time again.

[Jack hesitates a moment.]

[Jack will have no idea that sweet Rem is gone. That might be something he will have to take into consideration, though, where Vash is concerned.]

I suppose the real question is, does the Raven what's just come back to us enjoy getting up to mischief as much as the old Raven who left us did?

I started lookin' for a dream to follow instead. Sounds stupid, I was never one for dreamin', but... [He seems to have thought very hard about this.] Let's say I have a new outlook on life at least. Doesn't mean I grew up though! I'm still a bad excuse for an adult!

Haha, when ya put it that way then I guess this place isn't all bad after all. Gettin' drunk and putting people into stupid costumes sure sounds like an effective waste of time!

It is something to do, in the end. Been awfully dreary around here lately, you know. Troubles heaped upon troubles piled on grim realities. A night of fun or two couldn't hurt.
