Ya know, I'm gonna skip straight ta the point. Anyone care ta tell this old man what the date is? Last time I was here it was somethin' like August.

[He pauses for a minute. August sounded right to him, but it had been an exceptionally long time since he'd last been here. Was August even a legitimate month, it wasn't native to his calendar. He wasn't even certain if this is how you use the journal properly. It had been several months for him and his memory isn't very kind.]

Actually, is anyone I know even around anymore? I've got no idea how long it's been. Just when I thought I'd finally gotten rid of this place.

It's somethin' like October now, mate. Where the devil did they whisk you off to?!

Jack? [You are Jack, right? Oh right, October. So he's been gone around two months by the look of it.]

Oh, I got ta take the most wonderful trip back home! It was great! No experiments, no drafts, no Malnosso! Why'd they have ta bring me back?

I---I don't know why they bring anyone back the way they do. Don't know why they brought ME back, that one time. You alright? Not hurt, are you?

Ah, yeah! I remember when ya disappeared back home. Tough times fer all. [He couldn't forget Jack or Buffy if he tried.]

I'm fine. A little lost and confused, but mostly fine.

Lost, eh? That at least can be remedied. Do you wish to be found?

[Because sometimes people didn't.]

Sounds kinda creepy when ya phrase it like that... If it's any consolation though, I'm on the beach.

Here, then: do you see a house anywhere? My home? You can go there and wait for me, or you can walk into the dungeon of the fortress just north of my home and---

Do you remember how to work the transporters?

I think I remember how ta use the teleporter. Shouldn't be too hard, used ta use it all the time!

[a beat.] Dunno where the one on the beach is though.

The dungeon of the fortress; brings you out to the barracks. I could come for you, or I could meet you barracks-ward. Your choice.

I'll take the teleporter and meet ya at the barracks. Provided Luceti's map hasn't changed while I've been gone anyway.

_{[Oh my. Well now, that voice sounds familiar. He smiles a bit to himself as he replies.]}

October eleventh, I believe. So you left and just now returned to Luceti? How interesting.

I am indeed. I've been here about a month. I can't say I enjoy it, what with the lack of actual businesses, but there are certainly many fascinating people to talk to. _{[Read: 'to troll.']}

It was the end of August last time I checked. [It felt like he'd been gone so much longer.]

[You'll be waiting for a while, he's never been to the beach in Luceti before. Finding the teleporter was no easy task. Eventually, say a good twenty minutes or so, he arrives at the barracks.]

Doesn't matter how many times I teleport around, I'm never gonna get used ta it!
