[Miyabi doesn't say anything for a few minutes after Raven speaks, assessing him, and picking the best thing to say. It's so strange, what's going on, and makes her head hurt trying to wrap around it all. Maybe something is going on? A few of the people she's come into contact with seemed vastly different than what she remembered...could she, too, have been altered somehow? It didn't seem like it, but--ugh! Best not think about it until it all ends.]

It's...i-it's nothing, ca--sorry, Raven. You don't have to apologize, I acted out of line, and I apologize. I'll take what you said into consideration, but in the meantime, I'll also continue my studies. You may be correct, both that I have been altered and that I may discover something. If I do, before the experiment ends, I'll inform you immediately.

[He tilts his head to the side. Why was she apologizing? If she was affected by an experiment then it's not her fault, it's the Malnosso's fault.]

You have nothing to apologize for. If you think that continuing your research is the best route for you to take right now, then I implore you to follow it. I'm not much of a help in circumstances like this. But I have to remind you that this could be the work of the Malnosso.

[Miyabi nods, albeit a bit more slowly than usual. She has a lot to think about once she gets back to her apartment, after all. In fact, she may try and call it quits with her studies when she gets home at last.]

[She nods her head politely, and a bit apologetically. It's going to be hard for her to remember to not call Schwann by his title, though she will give it her best try.]

[His worries lighten up, he doesn't even realize that he's slipped into his less formal speech once again. He's just glad to see that she's smiling.]

There you go then! We have somethin' else in common! I'm interested in figuring out how the journal works in more detail, so if ya do any studies on it then you'll let me know, right?

I will, of course. I'm not as skilled in this field as I'd like but...ah, I-I will do my best. The journals are a technology I'm vastly unfamiliar with, when it comes down to sheer mechanics. [She glances away, thinking back when she actually tried to take her journal apart. Ah...ahaha, that's not going to happen again. Not any time soon.]

[Well, today was interesting. Interesting in that he remembered something that immediately gave him a whole load of crossed emotions that he didn't know what to do with. Good thing that all happened while he was alone - explaining that, especially with how suddenly enraged and pathetic he felt, would not be easy.

But after taking an hour or so to calm down, he decides to send Raven a message. After all, the old man has something of his ...]

[He was waiting for the kid to ask him about that again, especially considering it's significance. Good thing he's at home, he doesn't exactly want Yuri going through his stuff to find it. There's a certain cheekiness in his voice, teasing as if to say "took you long enough".]

Oh? Yeah I do. Why? Have ya finally remembered what it was?

[The teasing gets him to smirk lightly, but it doesn't really change his tone at all.]

Yeah. [ ... ] It's a picture of Judy and Jonah. Not a very good one, but ... it's something.

[Not even asking for confirmation on that - he just wants it back.]

[His tone is completely different from before, almost sincere for a change.]

[When Yuri gets to the house and wanders in, sure enough, Raven's sleeping.

For a moment, he just stares at him, wavering somewhere between wanting to flip the couch over or make some kind of snarky "did i really take that long" comment. Instead, he'll sigh and wander over.]

Oh come on ... Hey. Get up, old man.

[He mumbles something that makes no sense as he wakes up. It takes him a moment to register that Yuri is even standing in front of him, so he just sits there.]

Huh? I guess I must have dozed off... I was havin' such a nice dream too.

[Eyebrow raise. He really doesn't care about your dreams, Raven. ~~Those belong to Brave Vesperia now too.~~]

I didn't think I really took that long getting back here.
