[All the fuss and noise over the journal today caught Raven's attention. People's clothes magically changing outside? He had to go and see this. What he didn't expect was for it to happen to him. So rather than complain, he did the logical thing and took the outfit off. But around 10 minutes later, without him even being aware, his clothes changed back into the costume. Every attempt he had made over the past hour had the outfit return again within a few minutes. Eventually, he gave up trying and decided to sit at the fountain in the village center, flicking open his journal.]

Someone wanna explain ta me what the heck is goin' on?

[He pauses.] This moustache tickles...

Yeah! It looks like some kinda robot eyepatch! Can ya see through walls with it, or anything like that?

Ya know, I haven't tried! [He flicks the switch on the side, activating the night vision mode.]

Ah! It made everythin' green!

It's probably some kinda fancy tech, do ya wanna try it fer yourself? I'm in the plaza.

All right! I'm on my way!

[Several minutes later, Blackbeard shows up in the plaza. He's tried to get the costume off, but the most he can do is pull down the part that covers his mouth, so that he can speak without being muffled. Looking around, he quickly spots Old Snake Raven.]

Haha, havin' fun in that outfit? [He takes the eyepatch off, holding it out towards Blackbeard.]

Right, it'll probably magically appear on me again in a few minutes. So just flip the switch on the side to go through the modes! There's one that makes everythin' green, another that zooms in really close and the default shows ya who people are and how they're feelin'.

Nah, I hate it! Ain't my kinda outfit. Plus, this damn mask keeps gettin' in the way when I try ta eat!

[He takes the eyepatch from Raven, but before he puts it on, he listens to the explanation.] ...Wait, what was that last thing ya said?

The last thing? [He thinks, this is kind of hard to explain.] It kinda shows ya how they feel, as in, how much more they can take before they drop dead.
