[There's an old fart standing on the roof of house #12. How he got up there, or rather, when he got up there is a complete mystery ~~he respawned there~~. In his hands he flips through the pages of the journal, looking for anything remotely interesting that he may have missed. After a while he speaks up.]

It's kinda windy today, don't ya think?

I haven't heard of anyone coming back with a loss that could end their life again. Seems a little counter-productive, since I doubt the Malnosso want us to die repeatedly.

You have a good point. But as much as I hate to admit it, I need it to be checked out. It wasn't exactly fine and dandy when I arrived here, and this power cap effects my artes which surprise surprise, come from my Blastia.

I don't mind takin' it easy if I have to, long as it doesn't fail on me again.

Bah, even suggesting this sounds demeaning, but hell.] I hate to sound like I'm trying to babysit you or something, but if you want me to come along the next time you see him, it doesn't bother me. [Too much.] I can't see him bothering to try pulling something on you again if he's got someone else staring him down, waiting for him to do something wrong.

I'm not gonna be too thrilled about it, but if a fight could break out, I'd rather be there. [Because you're not allowed to die again ~~so soon, anyway~~ or get your blastia banged up again, Raven.]

I'd rather not go at all. But I'm gonna have to, so I might as well prepare for the worst. Besides if I accidently kill him the blame can be dumped on mysterious orange knight Schwann, leaving us in the clear for a while.

I doubt you're gonna fool too many people with that here. [Besides, he'd rather the death be mysterious and show no signs of any culprits whatsoever, but that's just him.]

This place is a little different, but ... you've got a point there. [Besides, there were probably a handful of people out there who never use the journal in Luceti, and kept to themselves. Maybe that excuse really could pan out somehow ... maybe.]

[Not like Alexei doesn't have a little house guest who would happily tell everyone it was Raven should that be the case. But we don't know about that yet :P]

I didn't think you would. [Because Flynn would lay the smackdown on you, he's positive.] As for freaking him out, I'd do it whether he deserved it or not. He could use a little more excitement in his life, anyway.

Actually bein' serious for a moment. As much as I would love to pounce on Flynn while he's in bed... I did notice somethin'.

Last week, he called me Captain Schwann. But the way he looked at this, it was like he'd never seen it before. He was there at the Shrine of Baction, he should already know about my heart.

... [Wait, what.] I know my memory of things is getting a little shaky after all the time I've spent here, but I definitely don't remember Flynn going there with us.

[Better he finds this out now so it can stay hidden.]

I might be old but my memory ain't that bad. I'm certain he was there, he even helped on the Heracles. I remember moanin' at him fer constantly callin' me Schwann.

... No, he wasn't. Flynn didn't even set foot on Heracles the entire time we were there.

I did figure it was kind of weird, how Rita came up but yet ya never mentioned... [He pauses, putting the picture together from all his interactions. It'd be better he never mention that name unless she shows up.]

I'm not the one that was here before, but I'm still Raven. Things have just gone a little differently where I'm from. I...

[He looks away, feeling the awkwardness right now.]

... I've got no idea what you're talking about, and unless it's some kind of spectacular life-changing event, I don't care much either. You just said yourself that you're still Raven -- so, that's all that matters, right?

[Sure, this whole thing is still ... odd, but it didn't make the old man a stranger, either. It was easier for Yuri to look at it that way than actually figure out what the hell was going on with all this, on top of that.]

[Raven figured it out almost immediatly, other worlds and all that jazz. But he can't help feeling insecure, the only people he can honestly trust here is Brave Vesperia and, well Yuri is definitely how Raven remembers him.]

Then don't tell anyone 'bout this all right? I'll explain my heart to Flynn when I'm ready. It never gets easier ta talk about.
