[crisisrain]

[Somewhere not too far from the lake south of the town, Raven is struggling to keep his balance. He collapses against the trunk of a tree gasping for air in the freezing weather. In front of him, just out of reach of his foot, is his journal.] Swear I left this thing on the table... [His voice is barely heard as he slides down the trunk a little further, eventually his foot is it's just in range for him to kick book over.]

Hey guys... anyone... This old man could do with a little help, it kinda hurts. I don't know where I am, it's got some trees... snow... I think... [He moves slightly to get a better look at where he is.] Yeah lots of trees. I think that might be a lake over there somewhere, I don't know it's really, really cold and I'm... gettin' awful sleepy.

[There's a long moment of silence as Raven just sits in the snow back against the tree trunk once again, flicking through the journals pages as he tries to stop himself drifting into unconsciousness. He eventually mutters something just barely audible before throwing the open journal down next to him.]

I thought people weren't supposed ta remember these things.

[Quiet for a bit. He doesn't really like talking about people behind their backs.] I haven't really heard much about him. He's more of a friend of a friend.

That friend of yers could be in pretty grave danger ya know.

Mhmm. [He doesn't like the sound of that; but he doesn't like to judge people without meeting them either.] I'll talk to her, but... what makes him so dangerous? I think he's actually gone out of his way to protect her once or twice. [He's not sure; but he did show up in that Kefka fisaco.]

[Voice]

Wait.

Her?

Ya mean Alexei actually has a friend of lady variety?

[Voice]

He's taller than me, silver hair, red eyes. He also wears a lot of red and armor, not the kind of guy you'd miss in a crowd.

...so why's he so dangerous?

[Voice]

He tried to wipe out the Empire, used a bunch of people as puppets and oh, he brought the end of the world.

[Voice]

[Voice] Holy crap Frank ate my comment.

I wish I was makin' it up.

[Voice] Bad Frank! *tells him off* I bet he was the reason I couldn't find the icon I wanted too

[Vash is quiet; except for a soft noise now and then where he tries to speak but can't. He's thinking about a world ending and all the people in that world.]

[Voice]

If yer thinkin' about the world endin'. Don't. We're gonna save 'em after all.

[Voice]

[Why you let him jump to the worse possible conclusion?] Good, I'm glad there's still a chance to save your world.

[Voice]

Of course! Here comes the hero Raven ta save the world from the evil space monster!

[Voice]

[He grins at the hero bit then takes a little pause.] Space monsters?

[Voice]

[crisisrain]

Space monster, singular.

[Voice]

I've never seen a space monster before.

[Voice] I can spell honest.

[crisisrain]

Well, I'm from a different planet and even though we look the same there's no guarantee we're the same species, no matter how similiar. So I guess I could be considered a space monster ta you.

[Voice] No worries I totally can't. I didn't see a thing!

[Grin] So I'm a space monster as well then!

[Voice]

I feel like a lil' kid again when speakin' about space monsters.
