[Since the last event Raven has spent the entire time locked away in his room sleeping it off. Now however he feels as though that wasn't he wisest thing to do. So he's currently in the Barracks borrowing one of their standard wooden bows and practising hitting the targets. He doesn't seem to be doing very well though, he's broken a few window panes and even managed to hit himself with his own arrow. It'd be a wise idea to not stand anywhere near him, especially in front, he's not having a very good day.]

Hey I do know how ta use a bow. I just haven't picked one up in 2 months so I'm rusty. I ain't gonna get back to my game if I'm out of practise!

You can practice without putting bystanders at risk.

[Raven passes the bow to Arumat.]

It's not my bow anyway, I was borrowin' it.

[Damn, he shouldn't have tossed that arrow aside just a moment ago. Oh well, he's just going to pick it up again and fit it to the bowstring. He's no professional archer by any means, but he's used a bow a few times before and seen Reimi in battle often enough to know how it works.

Aiming, aiming, and...

The shot hits a little bit high and to the left, but it's not bad for someone who's not an archer.]

[Holding out his hand for another arrow.]

If ya can hit the bullseye I promise ta never fire that kind of bow again.

[Raven, you just challenged a professional soldier who can manually out-target a computerized missile targeting system. This time he'll take more careful aim; now that he's got a feel for the bow's power, figuring out where to aim shouldn't be that difficult at all. Once more he'll draw the arrow back, and...

... what was that promise you just made, Raven?]

[Raven was only referring to that type of bow. Not his usual one fortunately.]

I'm guessin' yer used to hittin' targets then. What about with your eyes closed?

Do you have a blindfold?

[He'll take that challenge too.]

[It just so happens Raven does, passing it to Arumat now.]

[Arumat ties the blindfold around his head and turns to face the target, lifting the cloth for a moment to make certain that he's aligned properly before lowering it again and taking aim. Once he's got that muscle memory of how hard to pull the string and how high to lift it, he doesn't really need to see the target. His entire body has been genetically enhanced and honed to make him a fighting machine capable of feats like this.

The arrow isn't perfectly in the center of the bullseye, but it still hits its mark.]

I wanted ta see exact point center. Yer off by about an inch but I guess it's good enough. Fine, I swear ta never touch that bow again.

I don't care about the bow, just learn how to use it properly before you go putting other peoples' lives at risk.

I can use a bow, I'm just rusty that's all. Though not practisin' is just gonna make me even worse than I do have ta fire another bow.

And here I thought you'd never touched one in your life from those shots.

Hey hey, don't judge a book by it's cover. Ya'd be surprised how good I actually am!

[He just crosses his arms over his chest.]

Then show me, or else I'll just have to continue assuming you're incapable.

Can't till I get my bow back. Ya'll just have to assume that I'm really terrible. Maybe when I do get it, I'll show ya a thing or two.

[Chatty Arumat is not, and he's not impressed either. There's no way that someone could go from being that bad to being good just by using a different bow, at least not to his mind.]
