My Bow wasn't mine ta begin with though. It belonged to an old friend... but anyway it was her family's famed bow. It was just good luck that I managed to get my hands on it I 'spose. When things calm down ya can get I'll be here practisin' with it, I'll show ya what I'm truly capable of for a change! I'm sure I could give yer swordsmanship a run for it's money though. Provided I have the right sword of course, but that's not here in Luceti. I can't believe I actually checked fer it either...

But anyway!

Pocket... cannons? Can't say I've ever heard of somethin' like that. Ya mean like a pistol?

[She's going to listen carefully. She can tell there's a deeper story he's not telling her, but that's not her business to ask. Oh~ A gift from a friend...Miyabi smiles absently. That'd just make the weapon that much stronger, if the friendship between Raven and the nameless person was strong.]

I'd be honored to see you practiced with your wea--[Oh. Fff, did he just--!? The silent that presses down on the two becomes thick and heavy. Miyabi's smile curls dangerously, and there's a definite glint in her eyes as she hoods them. There's a mischievous tone in her voice]

Is that a challenge, Mister Raven~?

If I had my sword then yeah I guess it would be. But not for a while yet, I'd need to practise when I get my bow back anyway.

Then I'll wait for you to get your weapons back, or a good replacement. When that happens, then I'll meet you for battle, if you're up for it. I've wanted someone to spar with~

[She can totally take you. 8| And you asked for it, too, so no backing down now! Though you'll be facing the power of Miyabi's Brush as well. Can you really handle the strength of her deities~? ~~Even if Miya's only mastered a few of them, cough.~~]

But uh.. Yer so small, not exactly an easy target. No offence of course.

[vhvhjxjxsshdhdf--Miyabi's stumbles a little, not expecting that godawful word to slither out of her friend's mouth. Her aura turns from a sunshine yellow to a flaming red as her temper flares. One hand flies to her sword as she unsheathes it and swings the brush tip in one quick swipe.

Whatever was behind the old man, be it a tree, a rock, piece of the barracks, etc. will slide slowly to one side before crashing onto the ground with a very loud THUD!]

Ehhehe.... [Her grin is positively manic.] You're next~ ♫

Don't make me blow ya away with a wind spell Miyabi. I'm really not in the mood fer a fight.

[She hops up and down furiously.]

Bah, don't underestimate me!! Even if I'm not as big as you all, I'm still just as strong as anyone else here! It's disrespectful to make fun of an someone just because they're...different.

[But the scowl he's giving her has the painter stop, sheath her sword, and just cross her arms and pout beautifully. She's doing a rather good impression of a balloon, too, all puffed up like that. Miyabi's still a young and boisterous girl, so excuse her outburst. She didn't mean to make you upset, either.]

I don't wanna fight either.

I didn't make fun of ya cause yer small, I just said it'd make you awkward to hit for me with my current aim. If anything it was a compliment. Lighten up a little, I'm sure yer just as strong, if not stronger than anyone else.

[She gives him an appraising look for a long few second, then sighs. She blinks up at him once before feeling guilty for blowing up at him. Plus, the fact that he reminded her of her teacher didn't help. She fiddles with her robe, kicking at the ground a little, and doesn't meet his gaze.]

All right. I misunderstood. [Miyabi sighs, then finally looks up at him apologetically. She's used to getting teased for various things...her art, her size - especially her size - and her boyish attitude. It was one of her faults, that volcanic temper of hers.] I'm sorry for yelling at you, Master Raven.

[He kneels down in front of her so he can see her better. Raven's kind of short, but he still towers over her.]

I didn't mean to offend ya, you know that. Don't apologise fer it, come on, why not show me some more of those sword skills ya have?

[Baww, such a gentleman. That only makes Miyabi feel kind of worse. But she'll smile, a little, and then turn around. She draw a circle, then a quick upward line. It looks almost like a 'Q', or a--]

Move, move, move!

[Yes, a rather large, round, and very colorful Cherry Bomb is now hissing a few feet away from the two. MIyabi leaps away from it, not wanting to get caught in its range when it explodes, and suggests Raven do the same. Quickly, those things go off rather fast.]

[Totally running away from that now.]

So you can plant mines with magic too? Here watch. [He focuses a magic arrow and plants it into the ground.] Mine goes off when someone treads on it though.

[She watches him fire the arrow, very interested in how it would work. She was about to ask the details, but the loud explosion - coupled together with a decent display of bright lights - from the enormous bomb drowns out her voice.]

Ah, the power of the Boar can't do that. But I hear if you master it, you can make three bombs. I can't do that yet. [Unless I get angry. But then I faint.] That's called Cherry Bomb three, I think.

[She sighs a little, then falls onto her rear. Ah, she was tired. Stupid power caps. Miyabi was usually more energetic than this. She's going to need a time out for a sec, using the level three Powerslash wiped her out.]

I can lay three traps myself but... thinkin' about it my artes here in Luceti seem ta be much weaker than they were before. I have to admit though, I like yer choice in name! No point in havin' the defaults, much more fun to have a creative name ya can remember!

Maybe I'm blamin' this bow fer all the wrong reasons....

[She smiles, albeit a little wearily. Don't ask her to do another one, she really will pass out. At least for a little while. Miyabi's a tough cookie.]

Aa, I've noticed that, too. I don't know about their strength being reduced or whatever, it's possible, but it's gotten really hard to use certain skills. I'll get really tired when I use really strong ones and even faint...f-for a few minutes! [She clears her throat, then sighs.] Even Bloom, the only Skill I've mastered pretty much completely will make me really tired if I use it too much. And I can't make trees bloom. Though I couldn't really do that completely anyway, but--

I haven't tried using any of my stronger artes yet. Huh... if I used my Blast Heart I'd probably die for certain. I'm gonna have to be careful about what I use then if that's true.

Hmm.. I wonder if I can still use Stop Flow. That'd be a mighty useful skill ta have here. [And he starts to wander off into his own little world of thought.]

Stop Flow? [She tilts her head for a second, then the first bit registers. Miyabi mentally keysmashes before leaping up and down in front of Raven, despite her being pretty tired before. Freaking out take priority over fatigue.]

WHAT!?

Y-You can't do that!! If...If you die, I-I'll be--I'll never forgive you! Because then you'd make a lot of people sad and cry. [Including her. of course.] So you can't die, Mister Raven. Whatever that thing is, I forbid you from using it. If you do, and you die, then I'll beat you up for real!!

Hey I didn't say I was gonna use it! I was just thinkin' out loud that's all.

Good! I don't want anything bad happening to you. [Because too many of her friends were in less than pleasant situations already. She didn't need another one being like that.]

But I would like to see some of your skills, Raven. Everyone here has so many different powers and abilities I've never even heard of, or could have imagined. I've only even heard of the powers of the celestial Brush, so learning things here is a big eye-opener. What's that thing you were talking about before, though? Something about stopping a flow of something? Can you make water stop flowing? That'd be really neat~

I don't know if I wanna try usin' any of my artes. Seems like it'd be dangerous to try anythin' too big... But yeah I guess it does stop the flow of water, Stop Flow stops the very flow of time itself. It's a difficult skill to use, if ya want me ta try demonstrate I'll give it a shot.

Ah, no...Don't do anything you don't think you can control. I don't want you getting injured, Raven. Don't worry about it at all~ Just do what you're comfortable with for now, okay~? ♥ I'm content watching you fight with your bow.

[She's not as surprised as many would be. In fact, she looks down in thought, crossing her arms and tilting her head to one side. Seems it's Miyabi's turn to wander off into her world of thought.] Then it's just like Veil of Mist, kind of...though I don't remember if Veil of Mist stops time or just slows it down. I'll have to ask Mother Amaterasu.Mm, I should practice that one, it would be really useful here.

Ya really should practise it! Bein' able ta alter time is an amazin' ability to have, if I do say so myself.

But I want to try it, I haven't tried usin' any artes since I came here so it'd be good to see just what my limit is. I'm not gonna be usin' the dangerous one so don't worry I'll be fine! [He goes silent for a moment whilst he tries to concentrate on how to perform the arte again. It's been too long, he's getting rusty and old now.]

[She'll make sure to do so eventually. Maybe even after she's had a breather here. It wasn't exactly too dangerous, but it would be an extremely hard skill to learn.]

All right...

[She's till a little concerned, and will be fretting a little, but Miyabi moves a little bit away, giving the man some space to concentrate. She watches intently, and quietly, waiting for something to happen. Even though she was worried, she couldn't help but be a little excited.]
