Hey I got a little problem I could use some help with. There's this nice, little, teenage girl who's never read a book before, so I told her I'd get her one as a surprise gift. But uh, I'm drawin' up a blank. What kinda books do girls even read nowadays?

Right! Or you could also look for an old classic, or something funny! If they've got the author Terry Pratchett, maybe that'd be a good gift, because he's a totally underrated author. He's hilarious.

He writes fantasy, but his sense of humor is fantastic. If you can find it, maybe a copy of the Color of Magic would be a good gift!

Hmm... maybe the Hogfather, but I dunno. I like to read series in continuity, it drives me a little crazy when I read out of order.

Right, it's the first in the DiscWorld series, which is his best writing.

It's really funny and a lot of fun to read! The characters are always fantastic, like the cowardly wizard Rincewind or Death. Or the luggage, the single most feared thing in all of Discworld!

It's a trunk with hundreds of legs underneath it, that follows its owner around and stores his things! It's "half suitcase, half homicidal maniac", and it'll even go to hell and back to follow its owner.

There's some monsters like that too where I'm from, sort of. Except they're in a video game. Technically that's 'my world' since I'm here in the body of my video game character.

Yeah. I look like my character Alkaid instead of the real me, hah. Guess Luceti wanted me to be useful.

Well, the normal me's just a normal high school girl who likes books. "Alkaid" is a fighter. One of the best, even.

You promise not to tell~?

It's Chika Kuramoto.

OH ALKAID. MY OWN MUSE CONFUSES ME SOMETIMES.

I suppose that's only fair.

Real name's Chika, but you can stick to Alkaid.
