Hey I got a little problem I could use some help with. There's this nice, little, teenage girl who's never read a book before, so I told her I'd get her one as a surprise gift. But uh, I'm drawin' up a blank. What kinda books do girls even read nowadays?

Hmm... What about mystery? The Sherlock Holmes series was very interesting.

Yes, a very good one. He uses deductive reasoning to solve difficult cases. It was a little difficult to understand at first since it assumes some familiarity with the world it was written on, but I still found it to be suspenseful.

I still think it would be fine, but I can look for another mystery to suggest. There's a whole section here at the library.
