Ooh looks like I got a letter!

Though I'm in two minds about it, I'm in no rush to go home, I've only just started gettin' used to this place. But old Raven is curious to see what this 'Gate' thing will be like. Anyone else out there thinking of jumping through it to just see what happens?

Hm... Why don't you just move?

Been thinkin' about that, yer best bud asked me to come move in with you guys. But there's somethin' really off about Alexei, I wanna find out what's up with that.

I think I might have noticed something like that, but I don't think I know him as well as you do.

His story had holes in, and his expression wasn't somethin' I was expecting either. What point in time did he tell you guys he was from?

He never specifically told me that I can recall, but when I first ran into him, he did call me a fool.

Oh? Now that's very interestin'! He told me he was from the point when Phaeroh attacked Dahngrest, why would he be callin' you a fool if he was from a point like that?

So, he told you that.

That means that this could all be an act.

Rita had told him that he died at Zaude. But I can't vouch for that, I havn't run into her since arrivin' here. The thing is, he asked me to explain his death, so I lied.

You lied about his death? What did you tell him?

I didn't tell him how he died, seems like Rita beat me to that punch. But he asked about the whole Zaude incident, rather than let him know about Estelle's power I omitted her from the story.

Did he act odd about it at all?

He acted like anyone would do when told they're gonna die. But he did seem a little different when I told him what happened. It's kinda hard to spot when he's lieing without knowin' what he's been told by everyone else.

Perhaps you should ask Rita?

Like I said, haven't seen her around since I came here. But I'll be sure ta ask her if she shows up any time soon. Meanwhile I've got no choice but ta put up with him, least until I'm sure whether he's tellin' the truth or not.

You could always ask for her over the journals, but that's your choice.

I've got my knife, I'm sure I can hold my own. 'Sides it's not like there's anyone else Alexei is going ta be able to talk too, might as well milk him for everythin' his got.

And if it doesn't, expect to see me bangin' on your door beggin' to move in.
