Ooh looks like I got a letter!

Though I'm in two minds about it, I'm in no rush to go home, I've only just started gettin' used to this place. But old Raven is curious to see what this 'Gate' thing will be like. Anyone else out there thinking of jumping through it to just see what happens?

People have different levels of tolerance, it's ta be expected really. But for somethin' to be so bad you'd wanna run away back home, I don't really wanna imagine.

I don't know if it's as much as running away as just wanting to return home. Even if it isn't that bad here, some people just get homesick. [Like Ted. So much like Ted.]

I heard some people have something they really need to do back home. It's enough for the to risk it.

Well there was some pretty important stuff goin' on in my world before I left. Can't say I'm all that keen to go back.

Who knows? All I'm sure of is that if I return, a giant queen ant is going to welcome me for dinner... and not in a good way.

Well back in my world before I left, the entire planet was about ta be devoured by a massive tentacle monster.

It sounds like life likes giving us the strangest surprises. You'd think I'd be used to it by now.

The only time that folks original world comes into play is when there's a potential ta go home. Otherwise ya'd be better off not knowin' most of the time.

It makes me wonder what kind of life some people plan on returning to, especially those who still have something important to accomplish.

Well it's not just people how have important things ta do. This place isn't exactly quiet or peacefull with a constant lurkin' threat, some people might've come from worlds were they were genuinely happy with their lives.

I guess in this place, you can't really get a good medium. It would be nice if somehow everything could be compromised to benefit everyone. But hm... that's not exactly something that happens often.

That's kinda like askin' for life to be fair. Long as people work together and don't hurt each other then it'd be possible to find some solution to get home through a more trustworthy method.

Accordin' to the people from my world who are here, I've been home once before. So there's gotta be way. There's some risks ya should take, and some ya shouldn't.

Even after centuries, I don't think people would just suddenly decide to join together unless conflict arises, sadly.

Some people would rather learn it the hard way, which is the problem here.

Yer tellin' me, though there are peace treaties and such which keep them from conflictin' with each other.

Learnin' things the hard way can be the only method. Theory and logic is great and all, but puttin' things into practise and learnin' from those mistakes works better for the stubborn ones.

Peace Treaties never seem to last at all. Everyone in those treaties know they're just trying to minimize the conflict for a set amount of time before people get restless once more. Though, I have to admit, I might just be bitter from seeing how it affects people.

Learning through action is good and all, but there are just some mistakes that are not meant to be made, because once you've made them, there's no turning back.

Peace Treaties only last when both sides of the party decide ta stick to it, which is harder than it might originally seem. But it's not to say that all treaties are destined to fail.

Nobody's perfect Ted, we all gotta make mistakes.

I'm not saying it's bound to fail. Treaties normally last as long as the leaders who formed those treaties are still there. Once they're replaced, tension starts once more because their ideals start to differ, and it's hard not to fall into the same mistakes again.

I'm not saying we can't make mistakes either, I'm just saying there are some mistakes that we can't afford to make.

Though it wouldn't be half bad to establish some kind of treaty with those Malnosso folk now that I think about it. If we could get some guarantees it'd make livin' here a lot easier.

And what sort of mistakes would those be?
